Found it at 18:45, 28 August 2002. Found it mostly as described and in good condition. The 1972 description refers to the location as 62 feet north of the centerline of Sample Road. The intersection of Sample road and Highway 168 has moved north about 130 feet and the cap is now on the south side of the road - about 25 feet south of the centerline of Sample Road. There is some cosmetic damage to the cap, but it is readable. New coordinates found by 5 minute occupation with 6-7 strong satellites and 1 intermittent WAAS satellite.

Close-up of the cap & GPSr. It's about 5 feet to the asphalt below.

View northerly up Highway 168 showing cap, GPSr, and marker adjacent to Sample Road.

View easterly up Sample Road showing cap, GPSr, & marker in relation to Sample Road. Cap is about 5 feet above the road.
