DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1969 3.3 MI S FROM HURON. 3.3 MILES SOUTH ALONG LASSEN AVENUE FROM THE POST OFFICE AT HURON, AT THE INTERSECTION OF PHELPS AVENUE, AT A TURN FROM SOUTH TO WEST IN A STEEL TOWER POWER TRANSMISSION LINE, IN THE TOP OF THE CONCRETE BASE OF THE EAST STEEL LEG OF TOWER 2/12, 150 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF PHELPS AVENUE, 113 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF LASSEN AVENUE, 0.4 FOOT EAST OF THE LEG OF THE TOWER, AND 1.8 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND.

Original NAD83 coordinates were located about 0.05 miles easterly of the found WGS84 coordinates. WGS84 coordinates for the mark found by 2.5 minute occupation with 9 strong satellites and 1 WAAS satellite.
