DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 2.2 MI NE FROM ACADEMY. 2.2 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 168 FROM THE JUNCTION OF MADSEN AVENUE AT ACADEMY, IN THE TOP OF A 10- BY 5-FOOT GRANITE BOULDER PROJECTING ABOUT 1/2 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND, 24.0 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 91.30 FEET NORTH OF TRIANGULATION STATION LEE, 106 FEET NORTH-NORTHWEST OF A 24-INCH OAK TREE, 0.9 FOOT EAST OF A FENCE, AND ABOUT 1 FOOT HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY. SEC 1, T12S, R22E.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1950 THE U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BENCH MARK IS 23 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF STATE HIGHWAY 168 AND 1 FOOT EAST OF A FENCE. IT IS SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN A LARGE, FLAT BOULDER THAT PROJECTS 1 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND SURFACE. THE MARK IS 1.10 METERS LOWER THAN STATION LEE. THE MARK IS STAMPED 601 597 F.
