DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 1 MI SW FROM ACADEMY. 1.05 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 168 FROM THE JUNCTION OF MADSEN AVENUE AT ACADEMY, 132 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE JUNCTION OF A DRIVEWAY NORTHWEST TO A RANCHHOUSE, 27.5 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 2.6 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF A JUNCTION POWER POLE WITH A GUY WIRE, 1.7 FEET NORTHWEST OF A FENCE, 1.8 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 2 FEET LOWER THAN THE HIGHWAY, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.2 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND. Found USC&GS Azimuth Mark stamped "ACADEMY 1950" at 16:40, March 10, 2006 as described and in good condition. Go to description is adequate. 6 feet south of a telephone pole, 3 feet west of a guy wire, 3 feet northwest of a wire fence, and 1 foot northwest od a Carsonite witness post.
