DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1944 (JCS) STATION IS LOCATED IN THE S EDGE OF THE TOWN OF STRATFORD, 650 FEET S OF CENTER LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 198, AND 232 FEET E OF THE E TRACK OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. RAILROAD TRACKS. IT IS A SILVER-COLORED, ELEVATED, STEEL WATER TANK ABOUT 100 FEET HIGH. ITS APEX WAS THE POINT OF INTERSECTION.
