DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1958 AT STRATFORD. AT STRATFORD, IN R20E T20S S17, AT STRATFORD SCHOOL, ON EMPIRE STREET BETWEEN FIRST AND THIRD STREETS, SET VERTICALLY IN THE EAST FACE OF THE NORTH ONE OF TWO 8-FOOT HIGH CONCRETE PILLARS SUPPORTING THE WOODEN BEAMS FOR THE AUDITORIUM, 40.5 FEET WEST OF A STEEL FLAGPOLE, 2.2 FEET ABOVE A CONCRETE SIDEWALK, AND ABOUT 2 1/2 FEET HIGHER THAN THE STREET.

Found it at 17:40, 21 December 2002. Found it as described and in good condition. Cap has been painted over and is the same color as the column. A fence around the school made it impossible to get a coordinate at the brasscap.

The published coordinates (NAD83) off by about 0.2 mile when in WGS84 mode. Found by using the 1958 description: At Stratford School, on Empire Street between First and Third Streets.
