FU3379 - "TEHACHAPI SO PAC RR TANK"

Stopped in Tehachapi, Ca. on the way to Lancaster, Ca. An unexpected overnight snowstorm slowed our leaving town but didn't hamper finding this mark.

Located in the town of Tehachapi, Kern County, California, this USC&GS triangulation station lies adjacent to the town water tank on the north side of East Tehachapi Boulevard between Green Street and Robinson Street.  Found USC&GS station "Tehachapi So Pac RR Tank" at 10:20, 16 February 2019 as described and in good condition. Located inside the fence and maintained as a centerpiece of Tehachapi history, this monument is well protected.
