GR0086 "U160 1935"
Spent a few days in Mesquite. Spent some time looking for a few benchmark while I was there.
Located in the City of Mesquite, Clark County, Nevada, this USC&GS mark lies on the south side of West Mesquite Boulevard, between Thistle Avenue and Grapevine Road. The USC&GS mark stamped "U160 1935" was found at 06:55, 23 June 2018 as described and in generally good condition. Go to description is adequate to find the mark. The described church used as a start point for the description (1.0 KM east) has been removed. The blue & white house has also been removed and is now a commercial business. The "old frame house" remains in place.
No new coordinates were taken.

Control Text
- The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
- The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
- The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
- The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
- The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
