DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 3.8 MI NW FROM SANGER. 3.8 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT SANGER, AT CLOTHO, AT THE CROSSING OF MC CALL AVENUE, 32.4 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH RAIL OF THE NORTH TRACK, 39 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE AVENUE, 9 FEET EAST-NORTHEAST OF TELEPHONE POLE 54-17 11 R/S, 10 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A POWER POLE, 0.9 FOOT EAST OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE TRACK, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.1 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

Found Details for Benchmark: GT1425
Searched for benchmark stamped 'E 287' at 16:30, 21 November 2012. The benchmark was not located, but may still be in place. The location described for the mark is between McCall Avenue and an actively farmed vineyard. The mark is described as being "about a foot lower than the track", however the area, which is used as a farm road, has been built up to be about level to six inches higher than the track. No new coordinates were taken.

There is a Fresno County Brass Cap Monument (FCBCM), No. KM69, about 20 feet northeast of the described location, about 1 foot northwest of a power pole. Said FCBCM is NOT GT1425.
