DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 6.2 MI W FROM FRESNO. 6.2 MILES WEST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT FRESNO, 0.18 MILE EAST OF MILEPOLE 202, AT THE CROSSING OF HAYES AVENUE, AT THE T JUNCTION OF MC KENZIE AVENUE EAST, 89 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF HAYES AVENUE, 34.0 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH RAIL, 16.5 FEET SOUTH OF A FENCE, 3 1/2 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF A TELEPHONE POLE, 1.7 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 2 FEET LOWER THAN THE TRACK, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

Found USC&GS mark stamped 'V677 1943' at 13:05, 31 March 2012 as described and in good condition. Go to description is adequate. The mark was found painted white with a blue cloth aerial target fastened to the ground around the mark. Also, the wood witness post had survey flagging tied to it and there was other survey evidence nearby. Decomposition of the flagging, paint, & target would probably put the use of this mark by the survey crew around October-December of 2011.

Published NAD83 coordinates are located about 100 feet southeasterly from the found WGS84 coordinates. WGS84 coordinates for the mark found by 4 minute occupation with 7 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.
