DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1944 (JCS) STATION IS LOCATED IN THE SW EDGE OF HANFORD, 166 FEET N OF THE CENTER LINE OF WEST FOURTH STREET, AND 150 FEET E OF THE CENTER LINE OF SOUTH ERWIN STREET. IT IS A SILVER-COLORED, ELEVATED, STEEL WATER TANK ABOUT 100 FEET HIGH, AND ITS APEX WAS THE POINT OF INTERSECTION.

Found it at 16:30, 31 Dec. 2002. Found it as described and in good condition. There can be confusion as there are two tanks in close proximity. The measurements shown in the description confirm it to be the taller, southerly tank.
Original coordinates (NAD83) off by about 50 feet when in WGS84 mode. WGS84 coordinates found at the base of the taller, southerly tank.
