I found two California Highway Commission right-of-way "C" post markers while looking for NGS benchmarks PID GU3364 "EUC", and PID GU3367 "EUC AZM". Both Madera County markers are on the west side of State Route 145, north of Cottonwood Creek and the Main Canal No. 2, between Ripperdan and Madera.

State of California Highway Commission right-of-way "C" post markers were used on State Routes and roads between 1914 and 1934. The monuments projected 6" to 18" above the ground surface. They are a concrete column measuring 6"x6"x42" with a 3/16"x6" copper wire set in the top. The top 12" of the monument has beveled edges and the letter "C" embossed on one side, about 2" from the top. The letter "C" identified the State right-of-way.
