IN FRESNO, 12.10 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RETURN OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TULARE AND FIRST STREETS, 2 1/2 FEET WEST OF THE WEST CURB LINE OF FIRST STREET, 26.00 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF EAST TULARE STREET, 36.80 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF GAUGE R.R. SPUR TRACK AND 54.80 FEET NORTH OF THE MAIN LINE OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD, AND SET FLUSH IN A CONCRETE SIDEWALK.
Found Details for Benchmark: GT1487
The benchmark was not located and believed to be destroyed. Both First Street and Tulare Avenue have been widened since 1964, removing the original location of the curb line. The described Southern Pacific track and gauge spur have been removed. No new coordinates were taken.
