STAMPED GAS 1972 AZIMUTH MARK. A CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS BRASS TABLET SET IN A 12 IN DIAMETER CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH GROUND.

Found it at 16:30, 02 January 2004 as described and in good condition. The mark was revisited at 16:15, 26 July 2004.
The mark is located on the southeast corner of Grantland and Belmont Avenues, 1.5 feet south of a guy pole, 18 feet east of the centerline of Grantland Avenue, 30 feet south of the centerline of Belmont Avenue, and 32 feet south-southeasterly of the northwest corner of Section 4, said corner being a 3/4" iron pipe, flush with the asphalt, tagged LS5096.
Original NAD83 coordinates were located about 7 feet southeasterly of the found WGS84 coordinates. WGS84 coordinates for the mark found by 6 minute occupation with 9 strong satellites and 1 WAAS satellite.
