DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 1.2 MI SW FROM BURREL. 1.2 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG WEST ELKHORN AVENUE FROM THE POST OFFICE AT BURREL, AT THE SOUTHWEST END OF THE CONCRETE TRUSS BRIDGE OVER FRESNO SLOUGH, IN THE TOP OF THE NORTHEAST END OF THE NORTHWEST CONCRETE RETAINING WALL, 13.2 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE AVENUE, 1.1 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE SOUTHWEST ONE OF TWO CONCRETE GUARD POSTS, ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE AVENUE, AND FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.

Found it at 15:25, 12 June 2003. Found it as described and in good condition. The bridge is no longer in use but can be easily accessed.

Original coordinates (NAD83) were located about 0.06 miles (northeasterly) when in WGS84 mode. WGS84 coordinates found by 2 minute occupation with 9 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.
