DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 7 MI N FROM ACADEMY. 5.15 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 168 FROM THE JUNCTION OF MADSEN AVENUE AT ACADEMY, THENCE 1.85 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG MILLERTON ROAD, 0.2 MILE WEST OF THE JUNCTION OF MORGAN CANYON ROAD, 0.1 MILE EAST OF THE SUMMIT OF A GRADE, ON THE INSIDE OF A CURVE, ON THE TOP OF A SHORT CUT BANK, 0.25 MILE SOUTHEAST OF STOCK PENS AND A LOADING CHUTE, IN THE TOP OF A GRANITE BOULDER ABOUT FLUSH WITH THE GROUND, 24 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 12.7 FEET SOUTH OF A FENCE, AND ABOUT 5 FEET HIGHER THAN THE ROAD. Found it at 17:00, 09 March 2003. Found it as described and in fair condition. The cap itself has been scarred but it is still readable. Its setting is intact.
Original coordinates (NAD83) off by about 210 feet when in WGS84 mode. WGS84 coordinates found by 5.5 minute occupation with 6 strong satellites and 1 WAAS satellite.
