Found it generally as described and in good condition. Castle AFB has been closed and many of the buildings are now in use by private businesses. The Beacon has been removed from the top of the tank and it is now painted with the logo of Cingular Wireless, which occupies many of the nearby buildings.

WGS84 coordinates found by 2 minute occupation outside the fence with 9 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.

The tank and new paint.
The tank and Magellan.
