DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 10 MI W FROM FIREBAUGH. 2.8 MILES SOUTH ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT FIREBAUGH, THENCE 7.2 MILES WEST ALONG BULLARD AVENUE, AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE JUNCTION OF FAIRFAX AVENUE, IN THE TOP AND 0.4 FOOT NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE BASE OF FOUR LARGE WATER PUMPS, 51 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF BULLARD AVENUE, 74 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF FAIRFAX AVENUE, 3.0 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE EAST MOST PUMP, AND ABOUT 2 FEET LOWER THAN THE AVENUE. SECTION 4, T 13S, R 13E

Found as described and in good condition. It was difficult to get a good reading on the benchmark as the pumps blocked the signals from some of the satellites. WGS84 coordinates found by 4 minute occupation with 4 strong satellites and 1 WAAS satellite.
