DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1966 9 MI W FROM FIREBAUGH. 2.8 MILES SOUTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 33 FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC STATION AT FIREBAUGH, THENCE 6.2 MILES WEST ALONG BULLARD AVENUE, AT THE CROSSING OF A LARGE IRRIGATION DITCH, 37 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE AVENUE, 9 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF A DIRT ROAD SOUTH ALONG THE WEST BANK OF THE DITCH, 75 FEET WEST AND ACROSS THE DITCH FROM A POWER POLE, 2.0 FEET EAST OF A WITNESS POST, 1.0 FOOT WEST OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE AVENUE AND IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT.

Found it at 15:20, 07 Jan., 2003. USC&GS brasscap found mostly as described and in fair condition. The witness post is missing and the face has been scared, probably by farm equipment. About 23 feet (paced) from the south edge of the pavement and flush with the ground. WGS84 coordinates found by 5 minute occupation with 8 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.
