DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1950 (RJS) THE STATION IS THE PINEDALE COMPRESS AND WAREHOUSE COMPANY WATER TANK, LOCATED ABOUT 8 MILES AIR LINE NORTH OF FRESNO AND ABOUT 1 MILE AIR LINE WEST OF PINEDALE. IT IS A 4 LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE WITH A SILVER COLORED 100,000 GALLON WATER TANK ON ITS TOP. THE POINT TAKEN WAS THE TOP CENTER WHICH IS 199 FEET HIGH.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1960 (WTJ) RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION AS DESCRIBED, WITH FOLLOWING EXCEPTION-- PINEDALE COMPRESS AND WAREHOUSE COMPANY IS NOW CALCOT COMPRESS AND THE WORD CALCOT NOW APPEARS ON THE EAST AND WEST SIDES OF THE TANK IN LARGE LETTERS.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 (WTJ) RECOVERED AS DESCRIBED IN 1960 RECOVERY AND IN GOOD CONDITION.

Found it at 11:30, 11 January 2003. Found it as described and in good condition. The tank no longer has 'Calcot' painted on the side but it is well maintained and still in use.
Original coordinates (NAD83) off by about 50 feet when in WGS84 mode. WGS84 coordinates found by 4 minute occupation at the base of the tank with 6 strong satellites and 1 WAAS satellite.
