DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 7.8 MI SW FROM AUBERRY. 7.8 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG THE CLOVIS ROAD FROM THE POST OFFICE AT AUBERRY, FRESNO COUNTY, 105 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE MARSHALL STORE AND SERVICE STATION, AND 15 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE ROAD. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED J 247 1935 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.

Found it at 13:00, 25 December 2002. Found it as described and in good condition. Was suprised I haven't seen this one before. I drive by here often and the cap is easily seen from the road.
WGS84 coordinates found by 5 minute occupation with 7 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites. Suprisingly, the elevation found by my Magellan was 1222 feet - only 5.9 feet lower than the 1227.9 foot elevation posted on the NGS data sheet.
