Found it at 16:30, 07 December 2002. Found it as described and in good condition. No evidence of described telephone poles. The letters 'USBM' were etched into the two witness posts and are still legible if looked at closely.
The benchmark is on private property, and located about 10 feet northwest of a fence. The GPS occupation for the new coordinates was done at the fenceline. Original coordinates (NAD83) off by about 85 feet when in WGS84 mode. WGS84 coordinates found by 5.5 minute occupation with 6 strong satellites and 2 WAAS satellites.
